The Slanted Screen's Bay Area premiere: San Francisco SF International Asian American Film Festival – March 19, 2006, 3:00pm – AMC Kabuki Theater, 1881 Post Street, SF, co-presented by the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area and the Vietnamese Youth Development Center.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion, "Is Charlie Chan Dead?" with Professor Darrell Hamamoto, the director, and several actors from The Slanted Screen.

The guests enjoyed live Asian American musical performances, silent auction for rare Asian American film memorabilia, delicious food and cocktails provided by Remy Martin.
The after party was free admission to Slanted Screen ticket holders. $20 general admission for all others. Ticket holders presented ticket stub from screening to be admitted.
Part of the proceeds from the after party event benefited the Vietnamese Youth Development Center's media/video youth program.
The Slanted Screen will screen at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 12, 2006, 6:00pm at the Laemmle Theater, 7907 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles.
